The Norwegian band Ramasjang has developed a very distinctive sound where catchy melodies with several vocal harmonies meet hip-hop-inspired drums, indie-guitar and at times very heavy synth parts. In combination with vulnerable and honest lyrics, a concert with Ramasjang leaves you with “an intense feeling of euphoria”, according to Espen Drivenes (Made Management). Also worth noting is that the band’s lead vocalist and frontman has been described as a fully developed pop-star by Fredrik Saroea (Datarock).
Ramasjang have been releasing three singles so far and it’s attached great expectations for their upcoming EP this autumn. Their first singles, Call Me and Smile were listed as recommended by NRK Urørt and played on national radio-channel NRK P3. Their recorded live-performance of the song Steal on international concept Sofar Sounds quickly received great attention in social media. Their third single, The Queen has been deemed a very catchy tune of international standard by esteemed music-figures in their hometown of Bergen.
